Sammi and Andrew’s black tie wedding at the Surety Hotel in downtown Des Moines was one to remember. Not only are they the most fun loving couple you’ll meet, but have the most incredible family and friends, too.
Their entire day took place at the Surety Hotel in downtown Des Moines. It was so relaxing to have everything at one location! The girls got ready together in a beautiful suite overlooking the downtown Farmers Market, then Sammi and Andrew shared a first look in a private room with the most gorgeoussss window light. We spent most of the afternoon outdoors taking all the family and wedding party portraits, and then it was time for the ceremony! The Surety has the perfect little intimate ceremony space complete with skylights. After the ceremony guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the outdoor patio. It could not have been a more perfect spring day for indoor/outdoor wedding festivities. To kick off the reception, Sammi and Andrew cut their cake and a few of their closest people shared incredible toasts. Then it was time to dance the night away! We snuck outside for a few golden hour portraits. This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day because there are no worries and everyone is having great time!
This day was absolutely perfect. In my opinion, the Surety Hotel is one of the best downtown Des Moines hotels for a black tie wedding! I’m so happy for Sammi and Andrew and it was a joy to capture their incredible day!
