Katie and Michael were blessed with a gorgeous spring day for their wedding. The day began with the girls getting ready at 1868 Farmhouse outside of Boone, Iowa. The reception venue was busy with excitement as flowers were placed and decor was set while the girls danced to Taylor Swift as they got ready in the beautiful bridal suite attached to the farmhouse.
After everyone’s hair and makeup was complete, we drove into Ames where the ceremony would be held at St. Thomas Aquinas. Happy tears were shed by all as Katie slipped into her gorgeous gown and her veil was placed. Outside in the church’s courtyard, Katie shared separate first looks with her dad as well as Michael. After that it was time for family portraits and the ceremony!
Once the ceremony was finished and Katie and Michael greeted each of their guests, the wedding party hopped on the cutest white trolley bus to drive back to 1868 Farmhouse for a few more group photos and the reception. Every detail was absolutely perfect in their reception space! We had a wonderful time taking more portraits outside before the reception festivities kicked off. It was the best night with amazing toasts to the couple and a live band performing!
