Maggie and Tate’s spring wedding took place in Maggie’s hometown of Jefferson, Iowa on a beautiful day in March. The girls gathered at Maggie’s childhood home to get ready that morning, and Maggie and her dad shared a first look on the front steps. With an early spring wedding in Iowa, you’re never sure what kind of weather you may experience throughout the day, but it turned out to be a warm, sunny day just perfect for a wedding. We got so lucky because a crazy snowstorm came through the next morning!
Maggie and Tate met at Iowa State University, but didn’t start dating until a few years later when they reconnected. Their shared love of Iowa State came through in some special ways during their day, and they were even chauffeured around by an Iowa State bus between their ceremony and reception. Their wedding party was so much fun and I love the group photos we captured on Jefferson’s square.
The happy tears continued as toasts were given and the special dances took place. We were even able to sneak out behind the venue for a few golden hour portraits which turned out to be some of my personal favorites!
Congratulations Maggie and Tate!
